Search Industry Rings The Opening Bell At NASDAQ

The Monday after Thanksgiving – a.k.a. Cyber Monday – we joined Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO) Chairwoman Dana Todd and about 25 other fellow New York SEMPO members to help ring the opening bell for the NASDAQ. Included below is footage of the NASDAQ studio in New York’s Times Square, as well as exclusive interviews with Dana and SEMPO spokesman Greg Jarboe. Considering the role of search in enabling the economy, this diverse group was most appropriate to kick off the trading session. Please let us know what you think!

By the way, our mojo must have helped a little. Even though the NASDAQ tanked that day, subsequent reports show that online sales for Cyber Monday were up 15%. Yay!
