Using Clickable To Easily Separate Search And Content Campaigns On Google (Tool Tip)

With almost one-third of the SEM dollars spent on Google going to its content network, it's imperative that marketers optimize their investment accordingly. There is tremendous opportunity to profit on the content network, but failing to optimize properly can cost you dearly.

As Clickable SEM Guru Trace has described on this blog in the past, separating search and content campaigns is a critical first step in optimizing your results from the content network. Once you have separate campaigns, you can exercise fine-grained control over how much money gets spent on each network and what traffic you target.

Until recently, manually splitting your combined search and content campaigns into two was labor-intensive.  Fortunately, Clickable's ActEngine makes it simple: it delivers a new recommendation that will identify the best campaigns to split apart and allow you to build separate search and content network campaigns with a single click.  By default, we’ll even set your budget on each campaign to reflect the amount you’ve been spending historically on the content network, though you can adjust the budgets however you like.

Below is a graphic of the wizard.

This is only the tip of the iceberg for what we’re working on to optimize your spending on the content network. Watch for more content network recommendations in our next release.

Have questions or suggestions on how the ActEngine can better support you? Please let us know.
