Word Of Mouth Marketing Association Awards Clickable For Innovative Community Engagement

Our favorite kind of recognition is when customers share their stories about how Clickable helped them survive and thrive by simplifying online advertising success. However, we're also proud when respected industry groups recognize our innovations -- most recently, the Clickable Gurus community outreach program.

First, we're delighted to announce that the Word Of Mouth Marketing Association (WOMMA) awarded Clickable the prestigious Gold WOMMY Award for Engagement. The Clickable Gurus initiative was recognized as the best word-of-mouth program fostering deeper relationships between brand and customer. The winners were announced November 20 at a special ceremony during WOMMA's 2009 Summit, held in Las Vegas. I had the honor of representing our team and presenting our case study. Clickable follows in the footsteps of other innovative and world-class companies, including Intuit, McDonald’s and The Coca-Cola Company.

Separately, the Society for New Communications Research (SNCR) named the Clickable Gurus program a winner of the esteemed 2009 Excellence in New Communications Awards. The winners were announced on November 6 at the annual SNCR Research Symposium & Awards Gala, held at the Harvard Faculty Club in Cambridge, Mass. SNCR is a global nonprofit research and education foundation and think tank focused on the latest developments in new media and communications. The Society’s awards program honors pioneering use of social media, mobile, online communities, and collaborative technologies. Other winners include Novartis, Intel, PBS and HP.

The Clickable Gurus have become central to Clickable’s community and customer engagement strategy. Led by five search-marketing evangelists, the Clickable Gurus program has helped thousands of struggling marketers become more successful at online advertising. The Gurus frequent popular online communities as well as Clickable’s own forums and this very blog. They’ve helped improve Clickable’s understanding of the marketplace, invent better products and services, and grow the company’s reputation and customer base. In July 2009, Clickable published the first anthology of their teachings (let us know if you'd like to review a copy).

Congratulations to our Gurus, including Hanny, Ehren, Trace, Tony and Andrew -- as well as Clickable's community manager, Anna! A big thanks also goes to my colleagues on the Clickable leadership team, who continue to support this important program. Of course, thanks to all our customers.

Lastly, we're always on the lookout for new Gurus to join our team. If you think you've got what it takes, please let us know in the comments, or send me an email at mkalehoff(at)clickable(dot)com.
