This month, Foursquare announced the launch of its new Merchant API, which allows technology companies to help merchants create and edit their Specials through third-party platforms. There are over 500,000 merchants on Foursquare today and growing. We are thrilled to share that Clickable is one of a select few early partners developing on the Merchant API, and we were included in the Foursquare blog post describing the announcement this past week. Through this new API, Clickable will be creating unique tools and wizards to simplify the Specials creation process. Specials are simple ads and offers provided by merchants that are found by consumers within proximity of the business when in Foursquare's application.
