Position: Relationship Manager

As a Strategic Relationship Manager, you will be the primary partner contact, responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships with many of our top partners. You will manage existing partnerships, launch new relationships, as well as drive new business opportunities, resolve business issues, and analyze and track key metrics to identify trends. You bring strong relationship-building skills, proven experience in negotiating and closing strategic partnerships and renewals, the ability to clarify and summarize complex issues, and strong attention to detail. You also possess superior analytical skills regarding contractual, technical, and financial issues with partners and the ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management. You'll also track and analyze key metrics, proactively resolve business and technical issues with our partners and identify new partnership opportunities. The position is based in New York

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow strong relationships with Partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to structure and execute business initiatives, develop work plans, lead analysis, and develop and communicate final recommendations.
  • Negotiate up-sells and program feature enhancements with senior-level executives.
  • Analyze and track key metrics to identify trends and highlight issues.
  • Forecast and report revenue and other key metrics, track actual progress toward forecasts, drive new business opportunities and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of business issues with the partner.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews with key partners and offer a strategic and analytical perspective of the partnership, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
  • When needed, administer the contractual elements of our partnerships through amendments, extensions, renewals, or other negotiation-related activity.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record. MS/MBA or other advanced degree a plus.
  • At least five years of work experience, including three years of related partner management or sales experience in an Internet or search company.
  • Extensive project management experience, with the ability to lead and handle multiple time-sensitive projects.
  • Ability to work effectively and cross-functionally with all levels of management, both internally and externally.
  • Strong understanding of the Internet media space and search engines.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Sharp analytical and detail-oriented skills with the ability to clarify and summarize complex issues.
