GOALS AND BID MANAGEMENT

Is Clickable Pro an automated bid management tool?

You have the option of allowing the ActEngine(TM) to automatically accept Bid Management, Quality Score, and Content Network recommendations. However, Clickable Pro’s recommendations are not limited to bid management. They also include recommendations about managing your budget, and qualitative recommendations on everything from ad copy to landing pages.

Can Clickable Pro automatically set my keyword bids?

Yes. If you want Clickable Pro to automatically adjust your keyword bids, go to the Act Settings section and select “Yes” under “Automatically Accept” for “Bid Management” recommendations.

Can Clickable Pro automatically set my daily budgets?

Clickable Pro’s ActEngine(TM) provides recommendations about daily budgets, but will not increase or decrease ad spend without user intervention. Advertisers must directly accept or ignore budgeting recommendations.

Can I set specific revenue goals in Clickable Pro?

Yes. You can set a Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) or Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) goal, either at the account or campaign level. Once you set your goals, Clickable Pro’s ActEngine(TM) will generate recommendations that will help you achieve them.

Can I optimize individual campaigns to different revenue goals?

Yes, Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) and Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) goals can be set at the individual campaign level.

Can I adjust my keyword bids in bulk?

Yes. Clickable Pro’s Keyword Bulk Edit tool allows you to filter your keywords across search networks, and set bids in bulk.

Can I adjust multiple bids by a percentage, rather than a specific amount?

Yes. In Clickable Pro’s Keyword Bulk Edit too, you can either set specific bids or make percentage bid adjustments to multiple keywords across search networks.

ACTIONS AND ALERTS

How does the ActEngine(TM) work?

Clickable Pro’s ActEngine(TM) analyzes your search marketing campaigns and generates recommendations based on your greatest risks and opportunities. Recommendations include qualitative best practices about copywriting, landing pages and account structure; and quantitative recommendations about bids, budgets and Quality Scores for advertisers with conversion tracking installed. (The ActEngine(TM) needs to review live performance data before generating quantitative recommendations, so you may not receive these when you first start using Clickable Pro.) Advertisers can also set a Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) or Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) revenue goal, and the ActEngine(TM) will generate recommendations to help you achieve those goals.

Why don’t I see any bid or budget recommendations?

There are two reasons why you might not be receiving bid and budget recommendations. First, in order to receive quantitative recommendations, you need to implement conversion tracking. If you have not installed conversion tracking, the ActEngine(TM) does not have the data it needs to generate bid and budget recommendations. If you have recently installed conversion tracking, the ActEngine(TM) may still be collecting live conversion data for your account. This process may take up to two weeks.

How many different kinds of actions and alerts are there?

The variety of Clickable Pro’s qualitative and quantitative recommendations increases with every release. Current recommendations range from qualitative rules about Best Practices (such as the most effective way to capitalize your ad copy) to quantitative recommendations about managing your bids.

What are recommendations based on?

Every recommendation is based on our analysis of your accounts, but each algorithm is different. Information about the specific data we used to make a recommendation is included in the wizard for every action and alert, and more information about that kind of recommendation is available by mousing over the “Learn More” tab at the upper-right of the recommendation wizard.

What are the severity levels based on?

A recommendation’s severity level is based on the level of risk or opportunity that action or alert addresses. High severity recommendations are those that have the opportunity to increase revenues the most or give you the greatest protection from potential losses.

Can I get recommendations without implementing conversion tracking?

There are numerous recommendations that are generated even if you do not have conversion tracking implemented, including qualitative recommendations about ad copy or landing page best practices, and recommendations about structuring your account and maximizing your Quality Scores. However, you will not receive the full range of the ActEngine’s(TM) recommendations unless you implement conversion tracking. With conversion tracking installed, Clickable Pro will have the quantitative data it needs to generate bid and budget recommendations, and help you achieve your revenue goals.

If I choose to ignore a recommendations, is it deleted or will it come back later?

If you ignore a recommendation, it will be deleted. However, if the issue is still relevant at a later date (between 7-21 days) the recommendation will reappear.

What is the ActMap showing me?

The ActMap is a 'tree map' that graphically displays the 100 keywords with the highest values for a selected metric. Each keyword appears as a block: keywords with the highest values for the selected metric appear as the largest blocks toward the upper-left, and those with the lowest values appear as the smallest blocks in the lower-right. Additionally, you can act on recommendations generated for those keywords directly in the ActMap.

Can I set Clickable Pro to automatically accept recommendations?

Yes, you have the option of allowing the ActEngine(TM) to automatically accept Bid Management, Quality Score, and Content Network recommendations.

How do I see what has changed in my account since I began accepting recommendations?

Clickable Pro’s Act section includes a complete history of the recommendations you have accepted or ignored. The Act History section includes the date, recommendation type, and the key metrics that prompted the recommendation.

Can I create customized groups that I can reuse across reports?

Yes. Reporting groups can include groups of accounts, campaigns, ad groups or keywords. After creating a report group, it will be saved in the Report Settings section and reused later.

CREATING AND MANAGING CAMPAIGNS

Can I create new campaigns and ad groups in Clickable Pro or do I have to create them in the search networks?

You can create new Google, Yahoo and Microsoft campaigns and ad groups directly within Clickable Pro. You also have the ability to add new keywords, or manage existing search marketing entities. (If you do make changes directly in the search networks, they will be synced with Clickable Pro once a day.)

Can I create campaigns and ad groups or add keywords in bulk?

Yes, you can add, edit and delete campaigns, ad groups and keywords with the Bulk Upload tool. This is a spreadsheet-based tool that includes full validation, so you never need to worry about sending invalid or incorrectly formatted data to the search networks. Most importantly, with the Bulk Upload tool you can implement changes to all three major search networks ― Google, Yahoo and Microsoft ― with a single spreadsheet and a single tool.

How do I add negative keywords?

Adding negative keywords is simple. In the “Manage Ad Group” section, click on the “Add New Keywords: Quick” link and enter new negative terms by adding a dash (“-”) before the keyword, such as “-game” or “-office”.

Is there a limit on the number of ads and keywords I can create?

Limitations on the number of keywords, ads, ad groups and campaigns per account are set by the individual search networks as follows:

  • Google AdWords: 15,000 keywords per new account, but often increased on an account-by-account basis.
  • Yahoo Search Marketing: 1000 keywords and 20 ads per ad group.
  • Microsoft adCenter: 10,000 keywords and 20 ads per ad group; 100,000 keywords per account.

Does Clickable Pro support location targeting?

Yes, Clickable Pro has a map-based tool that allows you to manage location (“Geo”) targeting across ad groups and campaigns. Location targets are set at the campaign level in Google AdWords, and at the campaign or ad group level in Yahoo Search Marketing and Microsoft adCenter. Additionally, Google AdWords includes support for custom Radius targets.

Does Clickable Pro support day and weekparting?

Yes, Clickable Pro has an Ad Scheduling tool where you can set dayparting and weekparting options. You can choose not to display your ads at all during certain days or 30-minute intervals, or you can adjust your default bids by a specific percentage at those times.

Can I set language targets in Clickable Pro?

Yes, language targets can be set in the Campaign Settings tab of the Manage Campaign section.

Can I update destination URLs in bulk?

Yes. The Keyword Bulk Edit tool allows you to filter your keyword list and update destination URLs across search networks.

What bulk management tools does Clickable Pro have?

Clickable Pro has two bulk management tools: the Keyword Bulk Edit tool and the Bulk Upload tool. The Keyword Bulk Edit tool enables you to quickly search, edit and export high volumes of keywords across all advertising networks and accounts. You can review performance; accept recommendations; pause, unpause or delete keywords; or update CPC bids and destination URLs―all in a single, intuitive interface. Bulk Upload is a "one-stop shop" that centralizes bulk account management across Google AdWords, Yahoo Search Marketing and Microsoft adCenter (Bing). It is a spreadsheet-based tool that you can use to easily create, edit or delete campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords or placements.

Does Clickable Pro support A/B testing of ad creatives?

Yes. Clickable Pro’s “Create Ad Variations” wizard allows you to instantly create up to eight ad variations without having to create each ad individually. Simply enter one or two headlines, and up to two variations for each description field, and the tool will generate up to eight variations on your ad. Once the ads are created, the ActEngine(TM) will collect live data about their performance, and generate recommendations about your ad creatives, including which ones to pause, and which ones to bid higher on.

CONVERSION TRACKING

How do I set up conversion tracking in Clickable Pro?

Clickable Pro Conversion Tracking allows you to collect consistent data about your Google, Yahoo and Microsoft campaigns with a single snippet of tracking code. To generate your tracking and conversion code snippets, go to the Manage section and click on the “Setup Conversion Tracking” link. In the first stage of the process, Clickable Pro will generate your scripts based on the type of conversions you track. Next, you will need to implement the code snippets on your Web site, and confirm the installation within Clickable Pro. Once your code snippets have been installed and confirmed, Clickable Pro will update your destination URLs to include tracking parameters, and begin collecting live data about your accounts.
For more detailed information, please visit our Product Guide.

Does Clickable Pro work with search and social network conversion tracking tools?

Yes, Clickable Pro is compatible with Google, Yahoo and Microsoft conversion tracking. However, Clickable Pro’s proprietary conversion tracking code allows you to collect consistent data across all three search networks, as well as Facebook, with a single snippet of tracking code.

What is the difference between the tracking code and the conversion page code?

The tracking code collects comprehensive information about user actions, including time on page, bounce rate, and referral site, and should be included on every page of your site. The conversion page code, on the other hand, tracks conversion events and should only be included on conversion or confirmation pages.

Do I need to install new code snippets if I create add new accounts, or accounts on new search or social media networks?

No. You only need to install the tracking and conversion snippets once. Any new accounts you create or link to Clickable Pro will automatically be tracked with your existing code.

Can the tracking and conversion code snippets be on the same page?

Yes. The conversion code only needs to be on conversion pages, but the tracking code should be on every page of your Web site. (Having the tracking and conversion codes on the same page will not cause any issues.) To assure that your tracking code appears on every page of your site, place it in a universal header or footer file.

Is Clickable Pro compatible with Google Analytics?

Clickable Pro does not sync with data from Google Analytics. However, Clickable Pro Conversion Tracking is not incompatible with Google Analytics; you can include Google Analytics and Clickable Pro Conversion Tracking code snippets on the same pages.

How do I reconcile discrepancies between Clickable Pro conversion tracking and other proprietary conversion tracking tools?

Discrepancies between different conversion tracking tools are normal. These can be caused for a variety of reasons, including different ways of accounting for data, differences in handling JavaScript, or “breakage” caused by incomplete page loads or other user errors. Issues of this kind can result in differences of up to 10%. If you have higher discrepancies, you can contact our Support team to help you troubleshoot the problem.

Do you support Google Checkout?

Clickable Pro does not support Google Checkout at this time.

How do I track conversions that occur on another Web site?

Depending on your Web site and conversion process, Clickable Pro Conversion Tracking may need to be customized to track offline conversions. (Customizations include Javascript that will log a conversion on-click of a button or link.) Contact our Support team for details specific to your site.

Why does implementing Clickable Pro Conversion Tracking result in losing account performance history?

When you install Clickable Pro Conversion Tracking, your destination URLs are updated to include tracking parameters. However, because search networks regard new destination URLs as entirely new ads, resulting in the loss of performance history for the newly tagged ads. New data will be tracked by Clickable Pro, and all new ads will immediately be modified to include the tracking code on the destination URLs. A new baseline will established soon for your old ads.

Do you support call tracking?

Clickable Pro does not include call tracking at this time, but it will be included in an upcoming release.
