AdWords Geo-Targeting

Geo-Targeting in Google AdWords

One of the biggest advantages of search engine marketing is the ability to target customers with incredible accuracy. You accomplish this primarily by selecting keywords that make your ads appear to people who are interested in the products or services you offer. But there are also ways to target your customers before they conduct a single search. Of these, perhaps the most useful is targeting by location or by Geo-targeting your audience. Geo-targeting can be accomplished in Google Adwords by using one of two different methods. You can set your Geo-targeting within the Settings section of Google Adwords by using city names, state names, DMAs, country names, and even geographical coordinates. Another way to target an audience is by using geo-modified keywords – You can read more on Geo-targeting in Google here.
